Every great journey begins with someone willing to take the first step — and for Arata, that person is our founder, Achal Shah.

Long before Arata existed, Achal built a career in retail in Surat, Gujarat, where he ran a successful clothing store — and was the first to bring the brand Jockey to the city. It was an early sign of the instinct that would define him: an eye for what's coming next, and the drive to bring it home first.

As his business grew, so did his curiosity about the world beyond it. Achal grew increasingly drawn to global business and, alongside it, a genuine passion for travel and tourism — immersing himself in everything from visa systems to the aspirations that drive people to build new lives abroad.

Then came the moment that changed everything. When Achal sent his own son to Canada to study, he watched firsthand how confusing and unforgiving the immigration process could be — even for a family with every resource behind them. It made him ask: if this was hard for us, how much harder must it be for families without the right guidance?

That question became his mission — to give every client an honest opinion, a transparent process with no gaps or hidden surprises, and to be treated not as a file number, but as family.

It's why we're called Arata. In Sanskrit, the name means a new beginning — a fresh start — but also preparedness, clarity, purity, and movement towards a goal. It's not just our name; it's our promise to every client who walks through our door.

Today, Achal leads Arata with the same instincts that took him from a clothing shop in Surat to a business that helps people find their place in the world — an eye for opportunity, a heart shaped by his own family's journey, and an unshakable belief that everyone deserves a fair and honest path abroad.
